Şirin Aktaş completed her graduate degree at Hacettepe University Computer Science and Engineering in 2000. And then completed MS program on Computer Science and Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 2004. Currently, she is a PhD candidate on Technology, Science and Society program at Özyeğin University, and her research area is “Digital Transformation at FMCG, Human Robot Interaction“.
Aktas has started her career at Garanti Technology as a Network Engineer, and then she took responsibilites on different areas like Presales, Project Management, Large Account Management, Product Management, Product Architect, and IT Manager on different levels at different countries: Turkey, Iran, Israel, Central Asia. She is now working as IT Director responsible for Turkey, Iran, and Unilever Central Asia. Along with her professional career, Şirin Aktaş is actively working as a Board Member of CIO Turkey in order to create a brighter future by using the technology. Şirin Aktaş is married with 2 kids. She is xcited—not only excited to be a woman, but to be a wife, a mother, an enthusiastic technologist, embarking on her career at one of the biggest FMCG company, and being a lifetime student!
