Mei May’s deep passion for mystery led to a career in data science where the primary focus of her work is in unveiling the secret that data holds for a glimpse of the future. She currently leads the AI-as-a-service initiative in Dell, working closely with the customers and business to jointly solve problems scientifically and objectively. Having been in the data business for almost 2 decades spanning from finance & accounting, internal audit, logistics, to business intelligence and now data science, she finds that it is not the data, but it’s people that is at the center of it all. Hence she strives to learn more about humanity and behavioral sciences in order to better understand the patterns in the data. When not on the computer, she enjoys tending to her little garden, trying new recipes and zoning out to a good Chinese drama.
